Mac Well Dressed Blush Review & Swatch

Mac Well Dressed Blush
Mac Well Dressed Blush
Finally I got my hands on this blush. I have wanted this blush ever since I started this blog. However everytime I go into Mac I always swatch it and think its not very pigmented and then can’t justify spending €22 on it. So to much delight I was super happy when I received this for Christmas. I have been wearing it everyday since the 25th and I now think it will be my go to everyday blush.

Ok so upon swatching you may be a little disappointed, it barley shows up on your finger, without scraping colour out you won’t get much colour pay off if you test this in a Mac store. However if applied with the right brush you will get a lovely application of this blush. When I say the right brush, it will really determine weather you love or hate this blush. I first used a real techniques blush brush to apply it and thought ‘I cannot see it on my skin’, then after switching to my Bobbi Brown face brush, It applied much more better and leaves a gorgeous pink sheen to my cheeks.

This is a Sheen formula blush so It leaves a healthy looking glow to the skin. The colour of this blush is a blue toned pink. Its unique in my collection. I don’t have anything that gives that effect to my skin. It makes me look healthy and I feel no need for highlight. Even thou pigmentation of this blush may not be amazing, once build up and used with your preferred brush, I feel it will become your go to natural looking blusher for everyday.

  1. This was a really interesting post! I love MAC Dame and use it all the time, it's probably my most repurchased blush ever. I have heard so much about Well Dressed but everytime I swatch it I feel so deflated! You have given me hope now :) Happy New Year!

    1. i must look at mac dame. thanks for the suggestion. I know thats the reason I never bought well dressed but if its used with a dense brush it applies great. Happy new year too :)

  2. Just reading this after seeing your January faves post.. I wanted this for ages after seeing it online and in Youtube vids, Tanya Burr is a big fan and always talking about it as her fave blush, as well as other gurus. I decided I had enough blush and didn't need it.
Then I asked the boyf to get it for me for my birthday (he was panicking for ideas), thinking I'm not paying - I can finally have it!
Never have I been so disappointed! The pigment seems awful and doesn't show up on me well at all - nothing like my other Mac blushers. I'm really pale too so I thought it would show up well. I've only used it maybe twice since August (and then piled another blush on top for some colour) , I'll try a different brush! Really hope it works as I think it has the potential to be beautiful.
Whoops, this ended up an awful long comment!

    1. That was a long comment lol. Try a brush that is more dense. It will make the difference. Sigma angled blush brush is good. It is very little pigment thou but once applied with a good brush it looks very pretty
