Top 5 Quick Blemish Fighting Products

I have tried endless number of products that claim to get rid of spots overnight. Getting sucked into them ‘overnight results’ products can be admitted by us all I say. However over the last few years as a acne sufferer,I have gathered a few products that I know will work and I can honestly recommend to you. I am a person who takes skincare very serious. I actually spend more on skincare now then I ever have and does that mean that you need to buy expensive products to get results….no. Its just when you have acne and sensitive skin. Its takes a lot of patience and time using different products to see what works for you. Yes its costly in the long run cause you will probably end up throwing half the stuff you buy out for various reasons, but when you find the right products its all worth it.
I have gathered up my top 5 picks for the products when you want a quick fix. I have selected different price ranges for people who are young and experience hormonal acne which is typical for the typical teenager or for the people who are at their wits end trying to fight acne.
Ok starting with Sudocream. My old trusty friend. I think sudocream is well known for rubbing on a baby’s bottom and that’s typically because its for irritation from nappy rash. Well I say if its good enough and gentle enough for a baby’s bum then slap it on the face. I find sudocream dries up blemishes quickly and reduces redness. Also if you have sore spots from either squeezing (we all do it) or they are just tender, Sudocream eases the pain and reduces the size and redness.
Next Lush Grease Lightening. I picked this up and slapped it all over my face and low and behold my skin went crazy. Literally I looked like I had spent the night roasting marshmallows and I was the marshmallows. My skin was burned from it. Grease Lightening contains tea tree which is used as a blemish fighting ingredient. However if your lucky enough to have spots and sensitive skin (we are so lucky….not) then it can sometimes react. I only now use this on those huge spots that are either stuck in the skin or just so big they look like a growth. Apply this a few times throughout the day and it makes the blemishes downsize quite significantly. Just remember Don’t apply it all over cause tea tree will dry your face out. Big time.
Caudalie Beauty Elixer is raved about in the blogging community. I bought this as it heard it was good for acne. I find if I’m having those days where my skin looks red and tight, I spritz this all over my face and it calms the skin and blemishes down, making then easier to conceal and also giving a fresh glowing look to the skin. I really recommend this. However buy the smaller bottle as shown above cause a lot of people react from it. Its quite strong scented and you might not even like it. So better to waste €13 then €30.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. Picked this little guy up in my local chemist after reading such good things. I apply this day and night and I can honestly say my skin seems to be clearing up with it. It fades acne scarring which is a huge plus. It seems to calm the skin and diminish acne. A little wonder product you might say. I have also found my overall skin looks healthier from using this. It can also be applied as a makeup base.
Lastly, I saved my most impressive product till last. Ren ClearCalm 3 Clarity Restoring Mask, the product above is from a sample kit I bought I am nearly out so I will be ordering this little gem in full size. It is pretty pricey at €35 a bottle, but out off all the products shown this one is my favourite. Its a mask that you apply to you whole face and leave for 15 minutes. Once removed it leaves your skin so soft and less aggravated, then overnight if you apply if before you go to bed, it seems to make you skin like 80% clearer, its doesn’t get rid of every single blemish but it makes the skin seem clearer and reduced the redness of the blemishes big time. I love this mask. I think its worth every cent.
So there you have it my top 5 Ance quick fixes, comment below letting me know what you do to get rid of blemishes quickly.
As Always Thanks For Reading

  1. Sudocrem was the best thing to come out of Ireland! I realised that once I stopped eating cheese I stopped getting big horrible painfull spots, it's definitely worth a shot! Your experience with the Lush product sounds painfull.

    1. Funny you shoul say that, I've had cheese this week and I've got a huge spot on the cheek. Ill give it a go. Thanks for the advice. :)

  2. I love Sudocrem and I've recently bought the Effaclar Duo! I've also got the Caudalie Beauty Elixir but I'm glad I bought the small sized one! I currently use Origins Super Spot Remover Gel to decrease the size and redness of blemishes, and also use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair to decrease scarring. I also love Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It and Origins masks - Out Of Trouble for when my skin's at it's worse and Clear Improvement when it just needs a bit of help, but I usually follow with Drink Up or Drink Up Intensive as my skin is really dry! Great post!
