Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

So I may be late on the band wagon with this one, I've seen it on many blogs for ages now and was always intrigued to see what it was all about. I am a very lazy person so anything that gets the job done quicker is good in my eyes.

I picked up a bottle to test it out for myself. Priced at €6.99 (pretty expensive) I was expecting good things. Upon first use, I was like wow, how awesome is this product, you literally stick your finger in the little hole and twist it around, then pull your finger out and Ta Da it's nail polish clean.

What looks like a good thing when you use it, you can't help but feel a little ripped off by it. I mean if you think about it, it's just a sponge soaked in nail polish remover, which has a nice smell, but it's just a nail polish remover. I ain't going to lie I like the product. I just feel like I've paid €7 for something that I could easily make myself. I don't know how long it will last, but I was watching a video the other day and someone said that the sponge leaves little black specs on your nails when it needs replacing. So whenever I use it now I'm checking for those specs.

Overall I do like the product it gets the job done quickly and let me say, the 1 second thing isn't that correct, you need to have at least 5 seconds to get a good clean nail. However it does do a good job, I just feel its overpriced. Maybe if you logically think about it a bottle of nail polish remover plus the cotton pads may add up to €7 but it would probably last longer than the Bourjois pot.

I think if you can justify spending €7 on it, go for it, it's a great little product. Otherwise if you spend you money wisely. Maybe give it a miss. That being said I will probably buy it again.
Have you tried this product yet? Am I the only one who feels its overpriced?

  1. here in France it costs 9 euros about the same as the Sephora one
both do the job and they are easy to handle, i have almost abandoned traditional removers.
you know both are good to throw away (but not finished ) when you put your finger in , it removes the polish and actually colours your finger too, that means the sponge is worthless and soaked up on varnish instead of remover.
