Rimmel Salon Pro Range

We all love a good nail polish, especially ones that offer salon results for the fraction of the price that salons costs. So when Rimmel released these Salon Pro Nail range, I was very excited to see what they could offer. I picked mine up when they were on offer for €4.59 and as it was spring time I picked up two shades that could be worn into the summer months aswell.

I'll start with the shade Cocktail Passion, a red, coral shade that is vibrant, fun and summer appropriate. This applies amazingly well, with just one coat you have enough coverage and you are left with a high glossy, almost gel like effect to the nail. On the other hand we have Peppermint, a cool blue/green toned polish that is a little opaque with just one coat so 2 is needed yet it still offers that high glossy, gel like effect, I guess you could say the way your nails look when you get them done professionally.

While I love both shades Cocktail Passion is more up my street and that's just because I never really opt for green/blue nails, I'm always wearing pinks and reds and corals. Another reason why I love cocktail passion is because It's almost neon which I love.

As for wear time these last a good 3-4 days which might not seem a lot to many people but with me that is good. Whatever nail polish I wear always ends up chipping on day 2 sometimes day 1 so to get a 4 day wear out of these polishes is amazing. Like I mentioned the finish is very glossy and almost gel looking. It reminds me of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. The finish is the same the consistency is the same however the Rimmel ones last a lot longer on me than the Sally Hansen and they are cheaper so win win. I do believe they have added a few more shades to the collection since release so I believe there is a shade for everyone.

These polishes retail for €6.45, £4.49 (currently unavailable in the states)
