October Beauty Faves

I know everyone says this but seriously where did this month go, I cannot believe it is nearly the end of 2013. Crazy how time goes so fast. So with it being the end of the month, its time to tell you all my faves of the month. Lets get cracking.

First up I have to confess my makeup has been super minimal this month, mainly due to constantly breaking out and being sick and those two things combining making me break out. Long story short, the doctors gave me tablets with lactose and shizz hit the fan. So I kept it pretty minimal as I hate to overload my skin when its broken out. To get some life back into my skin I have been using the Bourjois Rice Powder, this is a gorgeous skin illuminating powder that gives the skin a gorgeous glow. Its super fined milled and it really is a lovely product, I have a full review here if you fancy a read. To add some colour to my cheeks I have been loving my Tarte Blush in Peaceful, this is a peachy/pink toned blush with a hint of sparkle. What I love the most about this blush is the way it blends onto the skin and leaves you with airbrushed cheeks. Its also super pigmented so avoid a heavy hand with this one.

For my lips this month I can't get enough of Rimmel's Notting Hill Nude. As suggested in its name, it a nude but more on a pink nude rather than concealer style nude. Its super wearable and is perfect for those days where you can't decide what shade to wear.

As for skin and hair care this month, I have been indulging in some new products for Kerastase. One in particular is a replenishing balm from the Iris Royale range, this is the perfect product if you suffer from split ends or dry ends. Its instantly leaves them 99% softer. Its like a little miracle product. Lastly for my skin, I have been religiously using La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, I used to use this all the time then I totally forgot about it but with my skin breaking out this month its been my little god send. Again I have a full review here.

So that's it for the month of October, What have you been loving this month. Also on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you for Christmas?

  1. I haven't tried hardly any of these products but they all look/sound amazing! I do love Rimmel's Notting Hill Nude though it's the only lipstick that I've actually liked and worn down the bullet on. It's gorgeous and such a nice colour for my ghost face :)
