So today I have a rather exciting review for you. Well exciting if you are a highlighter fanatic like me. I literally squealed with excitement when I heard thebalm were releasing a brand new highlighter, then I found a picture online and literally counted down the days till I could get my hands on it. It's a very sad life I lead I know. However the balm are the shizz, when it comes to highlighters so you can see why I was so excited and boy I wasn't disappointed.

Cindy Lou is a rose gold based highlighter, with minimal glitter. With it's amazing creamy texture like Mary Lou (a yellow golden based highlighter) it literally applies like butter but it's a powder. It's highly pigmented with just a tiny sweep of the brush, you have a full on gorgeous glow and with the great staying power, it's a highlighter lovers dream come true.

I have been applying it with a duo fibre brush, for days I don't want to look too highlighted and then with the RT Setting brush for days I want my face to gleam. Each way leaves my skin looking great, each giving it a gorgeous healthy glow. As the highlighter is a rose gold powder, it's doesn't look out of place on the skin, granted if applied to much it can look a bit weird but with controlled amount it can really look pretty amazing. I think this highlighter would also work nicely as a blush, or popped over your blush to give it a little lift.I think it would work for all skin tones. It may look a little obvious on darker skin tones, but I really don't think thebalm are going for subtle when they design these highlighters.

One thing I love about this highlighter and I said it about the last one and that is the fact it contains hardly any glitter, just a nice shimmer. I hate highlighters that look like a child has sprinkled glitter dust all over you. There is nothing worse in my opinion

So if your looking for that obvious but not glittery highlighter that will sure to turn heads, thebalm is the way to go and Cindy Lou is a lovely little addiction to the Manizer family.
