Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Powder In Crystal Review

nars light reflecting powder nars light reflecting powder
Ok so who is with me when I say, I have wanted to try a Hourglass Ambient lightening powder for the longest time, but A) they are so expensive and B) they are only available on certain websites, that you never shop off and the shipping is too much. Well if you found yourself nodding along to that, then I have an answer for you that is easily available and a lot cheaper. A little while back I was reading Viva Adonis blog and they reviewed the Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Powder. After reading the review it went straight onto my wishlist.

I picked this up in Brown Thomas In Dublin for €36.00. The powder itself comes in a little sleek pouch and comes with a powder puff. From looking at the powder it may freak you out, I mean its white. You are probably thinking does it leave you white? The answer is no, the powder is completely invisible.

The main purpose of this powder is to diffuse the light and give you a glowing, flawless complexion, a bit like a miracle powder, but this really does work. It leaves your skin looking so flawless and perfect. It blurs out redness, blemishes, fine lines and gives you a gorgeous finish, while keeping oil at bay. One thing I love about this powder is its so light weight that even people who hate wearing powder wont even feel like they have powder on. It has a smooth, silky texture and is totally invisible to the naked eye, no one would guess you are wearing it.

I am so impressed with this powder, it keeps my oily skin at bay and makes my skin look healthy and glowing. The closest dupe I have found for this is the Bourjois Rice Powder, but unlike the rice powder this is more of setting powder and will set your makeup and keep oils from seeping through, the Bourjois version is more of a finishing touch product. I think this will become a staple in my makeup bag and anyone who is looking for a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lightening Powders or feel like they need a little something to lift their skin, head to your nearest Nars counter, you wont be disappointed.

You can pick up the Light Reflecting Powder from the Nars website or Irish ladies can keep it local and shop on Brown Thomas. Or you can simply pick it up at your nearest Nars counter.  Either way it will set you back €36/ £25/ $35

  1. I must give this another try, I bought this as soon as it came out and hated it, I found it sat in my pores and the tiny micro glitter really emphasised them! I've used the loose version for ages and I do like it but it gives awful flash back in photos, what's this one like in photos?

  2. I definitely want this. Damn it! xx
