Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balms
Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balms

Revlon are one of my favourite drugstore brands, they release such great quality products and granted they are a little more expensive than brands like Rimmel and Maybelline, the quality and amazing releases make up for the heavier price tag. When Revlon released these matte balms, I was excited to say the least. I love lip products so it was no wonder I would have to get my hands on some.

I initially picked up two and one of the new Lacquer balms which I will review soon and I loved the quality of the two I got so I picked up another one in the boots 3 for 2 deal. Usually I don't like matte lip products I suffer with quite dry lips and I avoid them because of that reason, but the bright summery colours attracted me to these. The balms themselves are actually quite smoothing on the lips. They are quite buttery, the orange shade is a little more drying than the others but they aren't too drying for the lips even chapped lips like myself.

In terms of pigmentation, they are incredible. they literally glide over the lips and give you full coverage. They last a great amount of time on the lips, even with drinking and eating they stick around for a long time. You can easily get a good 4-5 hours wear time out of these. They have a great minty scent to them aswell, almost like candy canes so they smell rather pleasant while they are on the lips.

The first shade I picked up is Elusive, this is a dusky pink shade. Perfect for everyday or with a smokey eye, Out of all three this is the one I would wear most. Its a really pretty girly pink shade that would look good on all skin tones.

The next shade I have is Showy, this is a bright pink with a lilac undertone, it makes your teeth super white and is the prefect barbie pink shade.

Lastly I picked up the shade Audacious, this is a bright, neon coral shade, more on the orange side that red and I think this one will look perfect in the summer time. This one is a little more drying than the other two.

Out all three I love Elusive the most, mainly because I get the most wear out of it but I think I will wear the other two more in the summer months when the weather gets hotter. However overall I am really impressed with this range from Revlon, the staying power is amazing, the pigmentation is superb and for a matte lipstick hater, I kinda love these little chaps.

You can pick up these little beauts from Boots for €11.20/ £7.99/ $8.99
Have you tried these balms yet? What are your thoughts?
