Weeks Most Loved #2

weekly beauty faves

This week I have been keeping my makeup super basic, mainly because I either wore very little or I just wore a light base and a bit of mascara. However I do have some other beauty faves this week.

First up I have been obsessed with skincare lately. I am trying new products to see what works best for my skin. I popped into my local health store and picked up some coconut oil after reading online it was good to remove makeup, so that is what I have been using it for this week. I pop into on my skin, buff in and remove with a warm wet cloth. It literally melts away your makeup and leaves your skin smelling and feeling great.

Lately I have also been trying not to wash my hair as often. I have found all this washing is drying it out so I have been loving dry shampoo, one in particular is Redken Pillow Proof Two Day Extender, I have yet to review this but I will tell you one thing it is amazing at hiding the oil in your hair without leaving it looking white and tacky. Also this week I finally tracked down La Roche Posay Cicaplast Lip Balm. I have been applying this every night and my lips have defiantly improved. I suffer very bad with dry lips in all types of weather and this is something I highly recommend to people who are looking for the next best thing.

Moving onto makeup related, I have been testing out the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, I was a little worried about using this as sponges tend to break me out, not sure why, but this one literally makes applying foundation so quick and easy while still getting a flawless finish. I will do a full review soon. Lastly Spring began not long ago, thou not sure the weather got the memo, but I've put myself into full spring mode and painted my nails with Essie Mint Candy Apple. Its so refreshing to be applying pastels that make you think of long hot summer days. Mint candy apple is a new fave of mine, that everyone should own.

So thats my loves for the week. What have you been loving?

  1. Have essie updated their packaging? Looking forward to the review of RT sponge, I've been tempted to buy it so many times but not sure if sponges work for me! x

  2. Oooh coconut oil, did you manage to get that in Waterford somewhere? I hear such great things! The Cicaplast range is a godsend, I need to pick up the lip balm too because mine have been awful all winter :(
