If there is one thing MUA do best, its lip products, they impressed me last year with their matte lipsticks and now they have gone and done it again with the new Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers.
My friend Jess, who blogs over at Lovely Jubbly, bought me these for my birthday, I was super excited to try them out as I love MUA and lip products are kinda my thing. Before I start on the colours I will talk about the product themselves. They are creamy liquid lipsticks that do need a little bit of practice to apply. I mean I literally was left in a mess trying to apply them, but a little bit of practice and you will be fine. You may even find it easier to use a lip brush instead of the applicator that comes with the lipstick, as it is kinda tricky. They go on like a highly pigmented liquid but dry to a matte lipstick. However they don't feel drying on the lips.
My next shade is Kooky, this is a grape purple shade, totally daring, but I really love it. I think anyone who loves a dark lip will love this shade as it really is unique and almost gothic looking. As you can see from the photo the pink one stained on my skin in this photo so please try to ignore that haha.
One thing that seriously impressed me with these lip lacquers is the staying power, once these are on they are not coming off. I literally had to scrub my lips to get them off while I was taking pictures for this post. So with there here to stay attitude they do last a long time on the lips and stand the food and drink test easily. The colours I have are Funk and Kooky, both totally different from one another. First up Funk which is a bright raspberry pink. Looks great teamed with a winged eye and gives you that plumed lip look. This colour will suit almost anyone, and I think will be loved by most people as its a very pretty shade.
Overall I am really impressed with these lip lacquers from MUA, they have done it once again. I can't wait to pick up more shades in this range. They look great on the lips, last practically all day and are a little different to you average lipstick and the best part they are only £3.
Have you tried these Lip Lacquers from MUA yet?
