La Roche Posay Cicaplast Barrier Repairing Balm

lipbalm for chapped lips

I am always on the market for the best new thing when it comes to lip balms, this one in particular I have been trying to track down since November, I recently came across it in my local chemist and decided to give it a go.

I am a huge La Roche Posay fan, their Cicaplast hand cream is amazing for any parts of the body that are dry and sore. It literally cures them over night so I expected big things from this lipbalm and I am happy to report its a winner. While I love my Nuxe RĂ©ve De Miel, I only like to wear it at night, I hate the feeling of it during the day so I have been using this one as my day time balm and I have defiantly noticed a huge difference.

First up the texture is very easy to wear throughout the day, its very lightweight and not heavy on the lips or thick to the point you could scrap it off, if you know what I mean, I hate balms that have that texture. It also smells and taste pleasant, I know we shouldn't taste our lip products but you can't help but lick your lips when they have a balm on them right? Or maybe that's just me.

I have been applying this for 4 weeks straight everyday under my lipstick if I am wearing any or on its own. I have noticed a massive difference in my lips, they aren't dry anymore, matte lipsticks apply much easier and they look more plumped, they also look less cracked and chapped, which is a huge plus as I always have dry and chapped lips. I cannot sing this products praises enough.

Overall a brilliant budget buy coming in at around €6, you can't go wrong really. It really has sorted out my chapped lips and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for the cracked, chapped lips cure.

Have your tried this lip balm? What are your favourite go to lip soothing product?
