The Makeup Bag Edit

selection of makeup bags

There is nothing better than a brand new home for all your everyday makeup essentials. Even though I store the majority of my cosmetics in Muji drawers etc I still like to keep my everyday makeup in a bag so its easy to get hold of. I have searched the interweb to find some cute and practical makeup bags.

First up is one from Ted Baker, I loved the print on this one, reminded me of Italy, it might not be Italy but it really reminded me of a Italian village. Next is one from DKNY for people who like to splurge on a makeup bag, its not overly expensive but still over my budget. Again the print attracted me to this one the apples to represent New York, the little doggie, I just love it. Moving onto a pop of colour, Ted Baker famous makeup bag- patent and a pretty bow. Love this pop of coral as its perfect for summer months.

If you like something a little wilder, head into River Island for the cheetah print one, River Island makeup bags are such great quality and this one I saw in the shops and its a decent size aswell. Lastly for the organised Olive like myself, are the see through bags. Always make sure to get one that comes in a trio, as you can use the others for toiletries when you go travelling. I love these bags as you can see all the products and don't spend ages scrummaging through the bag for one product.

If you already have a makeup bag that you love but its looking a little gruppy, pop it into the sink with some hot water, mix in some washing detergent and give it a gentle wash, then rinse out all the suds with some cold water. Then let it air dry and before you fill it back up with makeup make sure to give all your products a little rub down with a wet wipe to remove any dirt and grime. Voila good as new.

How do you store your makeup? Any of these makeup bags take your fancy?
