I have been desperately trying to get rid of my acne scarring for quite a while now. It seemed it was a losing game. I asked on twitter people's favourite product for the dreaded acne scarring and people seemed to love Trilogy Rosehip Oil. I actually picked this up in a health store, but you can get it online and in selected Debenhams. I was a little sceptical at first as its €19.95 and its an oil and I have very oily skin so I won't lie adding more oil I was kind of scared.
The product itself is a oil, its not overly greasy but it does feel like olive oil on the skin. Saying that it does sinks into the skin rather quickly and doesn't leave any residue, however you can feel you have some sort of product on the skin. I apply this before bed and in the mornings on days I am wearing no makeup. The reason for this is because you are meant to apply on clean skin and leave it be. So applying makeup over the top was never an option. I have a lot of makeup free days so I got quite a bit of use out of this product.
The big question has it approved acne scarring? I am going to answer yes and no. I have been using this since Christmas every night religiously and probably 4 times a week twice a day. I expected to see a massive difference, but I have only noticed a slight difference. I understand scarring is not something that disappears overnight but I really wanted more results. My acne scarring is less red, which is a plus, but it is still rather visible. I won't say its not worth the money, because I really do like the fact it has helped about 30% of my scarring and maybe continued use it will help more, but its not a quick miracle product so if you are like me expecting to cure it all as quick as lightening you will be saddened.
Some advances of this product are, it leaves the skin super soft and I've noticed the texture of my skin has approved. Its looks better if that makes any sense and makeup applies so much better. Also it has not broken me out thank god. I do really like the Rosehip Oil, but I am still on the hunt for the perfect product.
Have you tried this product? What are your miracle scarring products?
