Lately I have been testing out a few different polishes from Jessica, I was totally new to the brand and I have been enjoying trying out some new nail brands. I thought I would do one big post on the products rather than individual ones and to give you my overall thoughts on the brand itself.
I'll start with the coloured polishes I have been trying out three shades all from different collections. First up is the lastest New York Autumn Collection, I have the shade NY State of Mind*. This is a gorgeous blue toned grey shade that is meant to resemble all the tall buildings in New York. This is a colour I would never have bought myself but I have to say its really pretty. Its very classic and elegant looking and I can see myself wearing it a lot through out autumn and winter. Next is from the Ignite Collection and its the shade Blue Blast*. I am not a huge dark blue nail polish lover but I think this one will also be a great Autumn staple shade. Its applies nicely, dries slighty darker than the pics above and looks nice on the nails. Lastly is one I did a post on a while ago and its from The In Bloom collection. Blazing* is a bright, fun coral red that looks classic, eye catching and gives you a clean manicure look.
Now I have also been trying some treatments and top coats from Jessica. First up is Fusion* this is a treatment for peeling nails. I applied this religiously for 3 weeks and I got to be honest didn't notice much of a difference. It didn't help with growth or anything, I think my nails looked more cleaner looking, but I didn't notice anything in terms of strength or texture. So this wasn't a hit for me. Lastly is Brillance -High Gloss In A Flash topcoat*. This I liked. It gave the nails a gel effect and locked in colour and extended nail polish for at least another 3 days. I was seriously impressed with this topcoat.
Overall these are my thoughts on Jessica as a brand. The polishes are priced at €12.95 each, a little on the pricey side however they are good quality. They do last a while on the nails and they have a high shine, gel effect finish, which makes me like them even more. The ones I have tried only need 2 coats for full opaqueness and they go on evenly and easily. The Fusion treatment I didn't like and its priced at €19.99 which is crazy amount of money for something that doesn't do that much. So I would defiantly skip this one, however the topcoat again priced at €19.99 is a winner. Its easy to apply, doesn't strip colour as it applies, gives a very high gloss finish and extends wear. With all that in mind I would recommend the brand to you as apart from the Fusion treatment I found no faults.
Have you tried Jessica? What are your go to shades from the brand?
