So Maybelline have really been hitting it out of the park lately with their new releases and I am happy to report we are onto a winner with these new Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils.
In summery these are super pigmented, super long lasting and super easy to wear and did I mention super affordable! I bought two shades however I could have bought more, but I know I will end up going back to get more as I think its love with these lip pencils.
As you all know I am not a huge matte lip wearer but these are just something else. They go on like a very creamy lipstick and then even when they are on they have a matte look to them however they still move on your lips and don't settle into fine lines or dry out your lips so in fact they still have a lipstick feel to them even though they come off very matte if any of that makes sense. Obviously being velvet lip pencil gives them a wearable consistency. I picked up two shades both very bright however I swatched nearly all the shades and they are all pretty much full on shades so these might not be for people who want subtle lips.
Fuchsia Desire is a pink with a purple undertone. Its not your typical bright pink and with the purple undertone it gives it a more wearable effect. Sometimes when I look at this on the lips it looks very metallic. Either way its a gorgeous shade.
In With Coral is a neon coral shade that would have been perfect for while I was on holiday this year, however I am going to wear this next weekend to a party. Its a very bright shade but its so bloody amazing. You can defiantly imagine yourself sipping cocktails on a beach with this shade on.
These pencils are so pigmented just a light swatch on the lips and you are good to go and as its a pencil they are so easy to apply. The staying power is amazing and they stand the test of time while eating and drinking. Even after a long day they still looked amazing. I am seriously impressed with them. I am certain I paid around €7.45 for them in Boots (can't find receipt) so a total bargain the only thing I am concerned about it is sharpening them, I'm a little afraid actually.
Overall I super duper highly recommend these. I urge you all to go out and try them they are so good.
Have your tried these? Do they appeal to you?
