Depending on where you work, its important to look good. In a recent survey 75% of people said looking good in a work place projects a positive image of yourself. So today I thought I would throw together a look for you all that is work appropriate.
To start off the look I have made sure I prime the skin. Most people work 9-5 so its important to make sure your makeup lasts all day. Primers help keep your makeup on and often they make applying makeup easier. I used MaxFactor Face Finity Primer, its lightweight but it has amazing staying power. Now to even out your skintone I recommend a long lasting foundation, I used Revlon Colourstay. Try to keep your base as natual as possible for a soft look. I concealed and brightened under my eyes with Bourjois CC Eye cream and then locked all my makeup in with Mac MSF natural powder.
Now to add a touch of colour to the skin slightly bronze up the cheekbones and temple with a light dusting of bronzer. I have used Nars Laguna as I find it to be the most natural bronzer I own. I added a pop of colour to the cheeks with TheBalm Frat Boy blush. Now you can opt to give yourself the natural glow by applying a highlight, however as I have oily skin, I usually skip the step and tend to keep it for night-time events. As for my eyes I wanted to keep them natural but defined. I opted for a very muted shade. I swept Mac Omega across the lids and slightly under the lower lashes and then applied some mascara. I filled in my brows with Soap & Glory Brow Archery. To finish off the look I popped on some lipgloss. I used Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain, this product is amazing and perfect for work as its long lasting so you don't have to worry about topping your lippie up throughout the day.
In general it is best not to wear heavy makeup to work, again depending on where you work. Try not to overdo the tan and don't go crazy on the lashes. I think the most natural makeup the better. You can always show off your makeup skills at the Christmas party.
