Urban Decay Ultra Definition Powder Foundation

the new urban decay powder foundation 2015

Urban Decay have added two new naked skin products to their famous Naked range. The Ultra Definition Powder Foundation and The Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. I have the powder foundation to tell you all about today. The Ultra Definition Powder Foundation* comes in 14 shades. I have the shade light neutral which is slightly too dark for me at the moment but I have road tested it none the less.

The product itself comes in a shiny silver compact with the UD initials in-craved on the front, it comes with a mirror and a sponge. In terms of how packaging goes its pretty snazzy. It also comes in a pretty purple pouch which can be used for storage or for travelling. The sponge is double sided the side with the UD signature is rubbery and great for using the foundation wet and the other side is more fluffier and so great for using dry. First time noticing that with a sponge so a nice little feature if you like to use the sponges. I personally prefer to use a brush.

Urban Decay Ultra Definition Powder Foundation SwatchThe powder is meant to leave a lightweight feel and a demi matte finish that can be used wet or dry. The powder once swatched feels soft and creamy and not at all powdery if that makes any sense. Its applies lightly and almost feels like there is nothing on your skin, which is probably why its called Naked Skin. The feeling on the skin is pleasant as it feels smooth and very comfortable. In terms of coverage it covers the basics, it is in no way full coverage even when used wet but it blurs out imperfections and leaves the skin looking flawless. Now as I suffer with acne its not a product I would go for as the coverage isn't there but I have tried out on clients and applied with a brush and the results are really tremendous. The overall finish on the skin is demi matte as they state which basically means its not to dry looking or dead looking but more healthy looking and lets your skin shine through.

When applied wet it kind of turns into almost BB cream texture and lasts on he skin around 4 hours without setting it with a powder. I personally don't like it wet, but that is total personal preference. In terms of staying power it last pretty much 5-7 hours depending on how oily your skin is. I was really impressed with the staying power actually.

Overall it is a really nice powder foundation, I wouldn't reach for it everyday as my skin does have a little more to cover but for good skin days I feel this would be my pick. Its lightweight, blurs out imperfections on the skin, looks natural and isn't at all drying like some powder foundations. Urban Decay have done a great thing with this product and I can see it being a really big hit.

Does this sound like something you would like?
