If you wear waterproof mascara you will know what a pain in the backside it is to remove. Scrubbing at the eyes is never ideal and so finding a good eye makeup remover is a must. Over the last few months, I have been trialling a few and this one from Garnier is getting a massive thumbs up from me.
Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Makeup Remover is not only super affordable, but its gets the job done quick and easy. The product itself is enriched with Arginine whatever the hell that is but it is meant to nourish the lashes as you use it. It is one of the products that has a bottom and a top layer and so needs to shaken before use to activate it otherwise it doesn't work as well.
The consistency of this product is nice, it's a little oily, I wouldn't say it was 100% greasy free (as stated) as you are left with a slight residue but its nothing too major that you have to go and wash your eyes. As for the smell, it's doesn't smell of much, I don't know if I'm the only one who hates products if they have a strange smell. I recently stopped using the Garnier Micellar Water Oily Version due to the fact it smelt of fish (more on that soon) so this having such little smell is a bonus for me. What I personally love about this product is that works just one squirt onto the cotton pad, placed over the eye to soak up all the eye makeup and then a few sweeps across the lid and all traces of mascara and shadow is gone and the best thing there is no irritation. Even for contact lens wearers I have found no problems using this product.
For a mere €4.29, you cannot go wrong and the fact I got it half price in Boots is even a bigger bonus. I can't recommend this product enough, its gets the job done, doesn't have a major oily, greasy residue and it removes waterproof mascara without tugging at the eye area. A winner all round really.
Have you tried this? What other eye makeup removers do you like?
