So you may or may not have heard there is a new addition to the Naked range from Urban Decay being released next month. Now say what you want about naked palettes, they do seem to generate a lot of hype in the beauty community and this palette has already got tongues wagging.

The new Urban Decay Smokey palette comes with its usual 12 shadows and it's encased in a rather attractive packaging. Almost the best packaging to date I think. The palette comes with a duo ended brush and one end being a pencil brush which is a great tool when it comes to smoking an eye makeup look up. The palette also comes with a handy how-to so perfect for beginners or for people who want to perfect their smokey eye technique. The swatches of the shades are beautiful as well, ranging from smouldering browns to dark greys and the odd purple. There are 9 new shades and 3 shades that have been seen before in various palettes. I think a lot of people will love this palette.

However after much inspection of this palette I know myself I won't be running out to buy it anytime soon as I feel they have just taken a love of child of Naked 1 & Naked 2 and then threw in some smokier darker shades. Maybe it's due to the fact I own too many palettes and I'm sure I have shades like this somewhere but for me I think I will give it a miss. Saying that if Urban Decay released a palette filled with purples and cranberry shades I would be first in line at the UD counter.
