Essie Summer 2015- The Blues

Essie Summer 2015- The Blues
Every year Essie seem to knock it out of the park with their summer collections, this year was no exception. If I am honest I had to restrain from buying pretty much the whole collection but after finding something similar in my collection for a few of them I opted just to get the two blue polishes...you know because I need more blue nail polish, obviously.

Essie Summer 2015- The Blues SwatchesThe collection itself ranges from corals, bright fruity reds, a strange but lovely yellow/green shade and a white shade that I am 90% sure I will have to go back and get. I bought the two blue shades the first one being Saltwater Happy, this is a milky, periwinkle blue with a slight grey undertone, that I would simply call the perfect blue polish. I am in love with this nail colour. I paint my nails with it, take it off (once chipped) then re-paint them, that's how obsessed I am with it. The polish itself contains no shimmer which I prefer when it comes to pastel shades and needs 2 coats to look good and it applies really evenly which is very surprising for an almost pastel shade. As for wear time of this polish, it is around 4-5 days depending on what you are doing.

The next one is Pret A Surfer. This is more on the denim side of blue but still leans on the periwinkle side of blue. It almost has an indigo look to it but its defiantly blue. This one I like and I am happy I bought because I have no other colour like it in my collection. Again like Saltwater Happy applies perfectly in just two coats and goes on evenly and wear time is around the 4-5 days mark.

After looking online at the other colours in this new collection I think I picked up the best two. These polishes are utter perfection and I love them both. If you love blue nail polish you must pick them up and if not I suggest you try Saltwater Happy at least as it really is amazing. I think we have a new Essie favourite contender....

Have you tried any of the colours from the new Essie Summer 15 Collection? Do these take your fancy?

The new Essie Summer 2015 collection can be found in Boots now.
