My New Obsession: ScrapBooking

Project Life

Everyone and their cat has jumped on the Project Life bandwagon and so at the start of this year I took the plunge as well. Not only is this such a great way to remember some lovely memories it is also so much fun especially if you like making things pretty and like to get creative.  Over the last few months, I have become obsessed with completing pages and creating all different styles for my album. Today I thought I share my album and give some hints and tips if you fancy starting a scrapbook.

This hobby can become a rather expensive one so there are a few tips I can offer. Most people do an entry every week, but that would mean printing photos at the end of every week which, believe it or not ends up being expensive. So I do mine once a month this way I save on shipping and printing costs. Not only that it makes it a great thing to look forward to at the end of every month.

Another tip is to order supplies off ebay. It does mean waiting a month (china order) for some washi tape or letter stickers to arrive but it does cut costs and all that stuff really does add up. Also the little cards that you place in the album can be handmade if you are feeling fancy or what I like to do is order them off a facebook group. It works out a lot cheaper and you never have doubles which is great as most of those sets come with duplicates which is kinda annoying.

In terms of supplies to get started I recommend an album of your choice either 12x12 or a small one depending on the look you are going for. You will  then need sleeves for the album. Then the rest is totally up to you. I love washi tape, letter stickers, parcel paper, quote cards and I highly recommend a paper trimmer..that is beyond handy. I adore the website Hey Little Magpie as they always have great sales. Scrapbooking  is a great way to have a unique creative memory of your life. I love this little hobby which some people may find sad but I think it will be great to look back on in a few years. I also think getting your kids involved is a great little family project.

Let me know if you fancy scrapbooking or if its something you already do.
