Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm

Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm* is described as a bb cream that reduces the look of pores, fine lines and evens out skin tone. For me I was left a little confused by this product and I will tell you why.First off I feel the name Beauty Balm is a little misleading as most Beauty Balms are designed to offer a light level of coverage and cancel out redness etc. However this product offers next to nothing coverage in fact its almost invisible on the skin. Now saying all that it does do what its meant to do in terms of helping redness and making pores less visible but still offers no coverage at all so if you need coverage this is defiantly  not for you.

I then thought that it could be used as a primer. So I tested it out under a foundation and found that it didn't extend the wear of my foundation but it did help with the open pores and all so maybe its best use is a fixer before you apply your foundation to get your skin looking the best it can. The product is also marketed that it will keep your skin hydrated through out the day and over a 8 week period you skins hydration will improve. I can't really comment on that as I have only worn a handful of times, so let me know if you are a long-time user of this.

When it comes out of the tube its very orange and quite scary, however once blended into the skin it blends to nothing so there is no orange aftermath. It does however dry very fast so applying in stages is probably your best bet. Once on  it literally feels like you have nothing on the skin so prefect for people who like next to nothing lightweight bases.

Now to sum it all up, people with perfect skin will love this as it fixes problem areas but still lets your skin look like skin, but if you need coverage you will have to avoid this as it offers zero coverage. It can however be used before your foundation to cancel out pores etc but its not super budget friendly just to be used as that alone so for me I wouldn't purchase this but if I was blessed with perfect skin I would probably wear it everyday plus the SPF 20 is a nice added bonus, I suppose it could be the perfect lightweight pool side accessory and it would defiantly fall into the no makeup, makeup look but its not a staple for me mainly due to the fact I need coverage.
