Nivea have released a new Daily Essentials Collection* that offers products for all skin types for a great price. Each product is priced under €7 and I have two of them to review for you today. I have put these products to the test over the last 2 weeks and thought I would let you know how I got on with them and weather or not they are worth checking out.
The first product is the Sensitive 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water. This product promises to remove makeup and thoroughly cleanse the skin while still being gentle enough for even the sensitive of skin types. I myself am very fussy when it comes to micellar waters, I am a huge lover of Bioderma and have never found a good replacement. This one while I do like it isn't as nice as my beloved Bioderma and the main issue I have with it is, is that is leaves the skin slightly greasy after using it. I will give it this it does remove makeup and its doesn't leave the skin dry or drag on the skin at all but it does have somewhat of a greasy aftermath feeling on the face. Now all this can be fixed with a quick splash of water but for a product that is meant to be simple and effective you shouldn't have to splash with water.
The next product is the Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover. This is one of those products that you have to shake to activate and it does a pretty great job at removing eye makeup including waterproof mascara but the only flaw is the slight greasy feeling left behind but this isn't as greasy as the micellar water and so isn't bothersome. I really liked this eye makeup remover it was gentle on the eyes, worked good with my contact lenes and removed very stubborn eyeliner so its a winner in my eyes......(get it)
Overall I like this range from Nivea, the Micellar water was a little bit of a let down mainly due to the greasy feeling but for a makeup remover it does remove heavy foundation thoroughly and gets the job done as does the eye makeup remover which I feel is just as good as the Garnier one I mentioned a few weeks back. For under €7 these products are great for people on a budget and I think they are defiantly sensitive skin friendly.
